First thing before starting your blog is to set the goal you have to achieve out of your blog. I am with this blog to promote my services of search engine optimization. I keep sharing my knowledge here and ultimately a success to my main goals. If have started your blog just because some other bloggers are making good income out of their blogs, then you are on wrong path. Correct yourself and check your case study as he will surely have some goals and is making bucks along with his goal achievement.

Keep things simple:

Keep things simple for you and set goals that you are very zealous about. Otherwise you will loose heart after some time. In this sense being passionate is main thing. It may take months to be on the road of success for your goal.

Build authority:

Keep posting unique ideas and stories which you think can be knowledgeable for the people of that industry. It will give you authority in your industry and it’s the first step to your success. Brand name building is difficult but not impossible. Keep in touch with other potential bloggers. Write Guest post on their blogs and bring some targeted traffic to your blog.

Consistency:

Internet has huge number of blogs and many more are coming each day but still some serious bloggers are on their way to success just due to consistency. Never be disheartened as success comes with consistency. After all you have a clear goal set in your mind which gives you upper hand as compared to those part time bloggers without any strategy in their blogging.

Engage with your readers:

When you are blogging with an aim of promoting your services or business, must thing is to be engaged with your readers. What they are saying in comments? Which idea (blog post) is more popular in your readers and about which post they have commented more? Make follow up posts on that idea and edit your existing post to link it to new post. Every time come with new thing in that follow up posts and if you are still successful in bringing your readers to new posts then become connected with your most active readers through emails. This is the golden opportunity to convert those readers into your clients and here starts your success of blogging.

Finally, its not a pin ball game. Only simple things with which you will better be able to become a success story of internet. Whole thing around which this game is in your strategy. This life guaranteed to us has some goals in it, this world has some goals and every thing in this world is with some goals. So success is based on goals and to achieve this goal you need strategy which I have earlier mentioned will not be gifted to you by some one else rather you have to make your blog strategy on your own on the basis of your goals.
